Be careful what you wish for...
Well we were supposed to leave the hotel at 7:30 this morning to make a 10 am flight out of the Orange County/John Wayne Airport. After a small amount of sleep, I arose at 6:45 to grab some continental breakfast in te hotel. At 7:30 exactly we were off on the bus towards the airport with very light traffic.
As soon as we breezed through security, all the airport monitors were red with delays. The screen has now gone back and forth displaying times and it seems as if we won't be arriving until close to 2 pm now. (Bear in mind, Santa Ana to Sacramento is only 50 minutes in the air).
So here I sit at the gate, tired beyond all belief. My eyes feel heavy and sting with sleepless tears. And I have to go back to my office and work when I het back... Probably until 6-7ish tonight. I have a lot to catch up on!
On the bright side, we play UC Irvine on Jan. 16, so I'll be back in Orange County in only 10 days! There are some perks to playing in a conference with over half of it's schools located in the greater Los Angeles area... Except for Riverside, I hate that place.
