In addition to today's earlier post (go read it if you haven't already!), I've also decided to change the look of my blog header. You know, I get bored really easily :)

As promised, here's my new hair!


How'd I decide, you may be wondering? Well Target has a sweet kiosk by the hair dyes that asks what kind of color you're looking for, natural color, skin hues, etc. Then based on your responses, picks out a suggested color. So I actually ended going one shade darker than my recommendation.

This one's called golden cappuccino, but it oddly turned out reddish in the light instead of golden. And oh yeah, I also took your suggestions into consideration ;)

Please excuse the myspace bathroom photo, that's the best lighted mirror in my house.

Blonde or Dark Brown?

It's getting to be that time again... where I get really tired with how I look. About once every few years, I'll chop my hair super short (comparatively speaking, short would be at my shoulders), give myself bangs, or dye my hair. Since I'm trying to grow it out right now, and I'm tired of my bangs.... guess what I want to do soon??

So I can't decide, I'll let you people choose for me.

Do I dye my hair dark brown, or go with blonde highlights? (Or, do I completely throw a curve ball, and go as a redhead - since my skin color is so light and my eyes are green anyways.)

Today, my first graders released the butterflies we've been raising. The kids were sad that one had died in his cocoon and wouldn't be set free. Turns out that butterfly may have had a better fate: a flock of birds ate half of the others. Immediately after releasing them. In front of the kids. FML

Today, at 4 AM, I locked myself out of my apartment. After calling friends in vain, I decided to just sit on the doorstep and wait for someone to come in. I sat for 10 minutes before a homeless man insisted threateningly that I move. I was kicked off my own front doorstep by a homeless man. FML

Today, I was at my boyfriend's house.I've been a vegetarian for 4 years, and his mother made lasagna with meat in it. After telling her I don't eat meat, my boyfriend's father proceeds to say "we know who's meat she does eat." My boyfriend, his mother, and I were standing right there. FML

The never-ending homework avoidance

I've lost a good eight pounds since Thanksgiving, when I stopped eating terrible foods. Then I got really sick a week ago, couldn't stomach full meals, and am now left with a smaller appetite than I originally had (which, let's be real, is like a normal appetite for anyone else since I ate so much before anyways). Long story short, my clothes don't really fit me that well anymore. But at least I can fit into my pre-France clothes from 2007. I'm probably closer to my normal size than I've been in two or three years now.

What is normal anyways? Am I going to be clinging to my barely 110-lb. high school and freshman/sophomore year of college weight for the rest of my life? Or will I have to embrace that I'm never going to be back there again and will probably be on the average side from here on out? Either way, I'm sort of eating healthier again, so that's good. I should probably make an appointment to get my cholesterol/triglycerides checked out again soon.

My neck's also been bothering me a ridiculous amount lately, because I think my TMJ is at an all-time low. So when I get a break in my schedule, I'll probably start looking back into physical therapy. Who knows, it sort of helped last time, but I'm really REALLY crossing my fingers that I don't have to resort to surgery as the next step to solving my problems.

I'm just one happy mess, aren't I? Well, the happy part's correct. I really have no complaints beyond medical issues right now. So, I guess you win some and you lose some, huh?

Here's to the rest of a good week! And getting back to my sports law reading and briefs.... or I could catch up on the past two weeks of Private Practice that I missed while working basketball games....

Most exciting person you know...

I am that person.

Every day I wake up. Go to work. Stay late, or head out to class after work two nights a week. Some days I partake in intramural sports, but that season's almost over now. Most nights I frequent the gym. Come home by 8 or 9 p.m., make dinner with a little extra leftovers for the next day's lunch. Try to get my homework done at least four days before I have to turn it in (usually reading assignments, thesis research). If it's not too late, I'll turn on some t.v., followed by a long shower.

Then I go to bed and do it all again the next morning. And if it's a Friday-Saturday-Sunday, you can bet I'm on campus working athletic events and/or going to the gym.

My life is exhausting. And boring. So yeah, I'm still in some sort of transitionary mode right now. Hopefully it gets better :)

This is kind of a fun website

Quality's not all that great, but when I have more time maybe I'll play around with it a little better :) Ah, the things we do when we are bored.
