Woo, I know how to use technology.

I changed the formatting and layout of my writing blog.

Maybe that means I'll keep writing more?? I have a billion stories in my head, but am too lazy/don't have enough time to actually sit down and write.

Make me more motivated to keep practicing and hopefully end up getting published some day!!!

Back at it

Lately, I've fallen back into my former aspirations of becoming a published author. Short stories, fiction, travel writing, pick your poison.

So instead of only dreaming about writing professionally, I've started doing something about it. I'm going to be compiling short stories in my free time now.

While I still aim to blog daily, these entries will be posted to my other account which I've created solely for the purpose of (this is figuratively speaking since I haven't done such deed) putting pen to paper.

Here's my most recent story. Amazingly enough, it's the first time I've actually completed a thought. Most of my last works were expected snippets of a much larger piece. This time, I'm opting for short stories and am thoroughly enjoying the process.

Happy March!

Though it hasn't been seven full months, March marks my seventh month here in France during the 2007-08 journey.

As usual after an event-filled weekend, I want to do nothing right now. Not even grade my tests. Not even write a blog entry.

So I won't. (Apart from these few sentences.) Instead, I kept the creative process alive, writing more of this weird, futuristic story I've been scheeming up recently. Currently, it's at 17-18 pages of typed up paragraphs and notes to spark future thoughts.

Maybe once that's stopped taking up all my brain activity, I'll write up a little something about my weekend in the Var. Or, I could always show you pictures. Pictures take no creative thinking after they've already been taken...

:)

(Oh, and it's good to know that despite furious rebuilding efforts, the A's are still the better baseball team in the Bay Area. I know it's super early in the season, but 23-5 against the Giants' No.1 ace and former Athletic, Barry Zito?! Maybe ditching higher-paid players really is the way to go...)

The pen is a-flowing

...Make that the keys, since I hardly ever write stories out anymore.

Ever since I worked with the AVP, I kept having recurring thoughts of some bizarre story that I've been vaguely trying to piece together. During one of the trans-American flights, I whipped out my computer and wrote a really big chunk of this story. It's even got a shell of sorts, just needs some major fill-in-the-blanks work.

Either way, the main character kind of recently came back to me. Call me weird if you want, but I guess this is how the writing process really strikes people.

So I know I've got notes and scribbles at home somewhere about all my billions of brain activity and stories, so I full intend on somehow organizing all of that when I go back home.

That being said, I've started up a third new blog. It's basically a holding-cell for all of my fuzzy and random thoughts. I can't shake the feeling that I might have something going with this story, so I'm going to hash it out to the fullest and see where it gets me.

Probably nowhere, but I do have hours upon hours on my hands and the weather is not yet nice enough to spend it at the beach.

So while I huddle up in what I hope to be the last actual days of winter weather, I'm going to keep at this writing thing.
