Today is J.D.'s favorite "holiday" and I say that in quotes because celebrating this day never, ever occurred to me. Today, March 14 (3-14), is Π Day, the Greek mathematical symbol that roughly rounds to 3.14.
So weird. But in honor of today, I suggested that we frequent the establishment a few blocks from our house - Marie Calendar's. Because who doesn't want a slice of pie on Pi Day?! And we've only eaten there once the 10 months we've lived here ;)
We're such dorks, it's awesome. What weird/different holidays/festivals do YOU celebrate??

Matt was in a wedding on Pi Day. Because the Bride & Groom are mathy people. It was at 1:59 as well (3.14159... hahaa) The bridesmaids had little pi symbols on their necklaces. So at least you aren't that into celebrating!
Haha my boyfriend would make us celebrate pi day too if he knew about it lol!
Marie Calendar's? Like the frozen food maven? She has a restaurant?
OK, so what did you end up getting?
Yeah it's kind of a more upscale Denny's hahaha... when I put it like that it sounds awful :)
I flipped between berry and cherry, then made a split-second lemon meringue order at the counter! I always make random, unthought of choices whenever I order food. What's my deal?
But it was chilly and delicious :) Great excuse to eat a pie.
oops, I used my work account there. Guess you all can start calling me Mike now.... haha my bad.
